Learning Partner

A role secured through a tendering process

Together for Peace is working as Learning Partner alongside several Leeds-based organisations which represent marginalised and vulnerable groups and which are developing solidarity between them.

The role is to explore systemic change and the impact of solidarity between different marginalised groups in changing their relationships to each other and their relationships to organisations, processes and policies impacting on their experiences and outcomes.

T4P’s role is to act as a supporter, guide and ‘critical friend’. It is a dynamic rather than static approach, using an ongoing action learning process to ‘collect and reflect’ rather than evaluate.

This fits with our understanding that learning is not divorced from the ecosystem in which it is created, but feeds the ongoing development of the work and community in an iterative manner (cf. the Natural Learning Cycle, David Kolb, 1984: experience, reflection, theorising and experimentation).
