Active Citizens
2012

Active Citizens 2012 is a free course for people who want to make positive change in their community.

This British Council scheme enables diverse people (especially young adults) to explore what it means to grow into active participation in community life, and to develop grassroots social action – and features international travel and learning.

This year we are partnering with Oblong, who are delivering a series of workshops  from the end of January and working with groups on social projects. We are recruiting up to 30 individuals to take part. See flyer for further details.

Many thanks to all our partners and supporters on the programme during 2011: RETAS, City of Sanctuary, Get Away Girls, Yorkshire Cricket, Positive Futures, the Lazor Centre Armley, n:fuse, Peace Studies Bradford, West Bowling Youth Project, Women of Peace, Peace Jam, Chapeltown Development Trust, Hamara, South Leeds Academy, Lady Pit Lane Gurdwara, Hardy Street Masjid, Churches Together in Beeston, the Mayor and many more.

Contact us for further info on how to get involved.
