Originally from Cameroon (West Africa) and living in the UK since 2002, I’ve previously worked for PAFRAS – a charity providing support and advocacy for people seeking asylum – and now Refugee Action. Before that, I studied Peace Studies in Austria and Bradford – and have since developed a growing passion for social justice, democratic freedoms and development, conflict transformation and peacebuilding, global inequalities and poverty and social harmony.
My passion is underpinned and driven by personal experiences and beliefs, as well as the desire to actively engage and contribute towards building more stable, democratically peaceful, prosperous and harmonious communities. I’m also involved with similar local and international voluntary initiatives (including T4P) that seek to break down barriers and mediate between communities, campaign for change, and support communities of peace and social justice. In an increasingly globalised, fast-moving and competitive world, we face growing conflict and challenges – but I remain hopeful that we can build sustainable peace amongst diverse communities.
