We work closely with the Centre for Good Relations, who emerged when Mediation Northern Ireland were invited to work in Burnley, Blackburn and Oldham following the 2001 disturbances there.

The Good Relations approach engages with conflicts in society by engaging diverse people in ‘Civic Mediation’; they (like us) are very influenced by writer/activist JP Lederach.

Since we first met them in 2008, we’ve co-developed community development projects with them around east Leeds, have hosted joint workshops, and are hoping to develop this work more.

Contact us for more information on this approach.
